Volunteer Orientation Class for New Volunteers
When: Monday, April 30, 7:00-9:00pm
Where: The meeting room at the Old Worthington Library, 820 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085
What: This orientation is for anyone interested in volunteering with the Columbus House Rabbit Society. Are you a new volunteer or thinking about volunteering for the Columbus House Rabbit Society? Not sure what opportunities are available or have questions about what to expect? Volunteered in the past and need a refresher?
This session is for you!!
We will discuss various ways to volunteer: on-site event assistance, help line assistance, fostering, planning/organizing group activities, craft projects, Make Mine Chocolate!, socializing CAHS rabbits, and other ideas on how to get involved.
We'll cover what to expect in each area, provide you with the information to represent CHRS effectively, and answer any questions you may have about our chapter and its programs.

Spring Into Health
When: Saturday, March 24th, 8am to 5pm
What: We will have our CHRS booth, Make Mine Chocolate display, and adoptable rabbit at the Knox Co. Nursing School's annual "Spring Into Health" event. This is a great opportunity to reach parents and grandparents with the MMC message in the critical days leading up to Easter!
Where: Knox County Career Center School of Practical Nursing, 306 Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050

OSU Vet Hospital Open House
When: Saturday, May 19th, 8am to 5pm
Where: OSU Vet Hospital Lawn, 1900 Coffey Road, Columbus, Ohio 43210
Needed: 4 Volunteers
This is an outdoor event with an expected attendance of several hundred visitors. We'll have our information tent/table and adoptable rabbit.

Adoption Day
When: Sunday, May 20th, time TBD
Where: Dublin Rec Center, Coffman Park, Dublin, Ohio
Four volunteers needed.
This will be an outdoor event. We will have our information tent/booth and adoptable rabbit. This event is still in the planning stages. More info will be provided as we find out.
We will need volunteers to transport foster bunny, set up, and staff booth. Tear down and transport foster bunny at end of day. If we get enough volunteers, we will create shifts. More info to follow once details become available.

Pet Promise Rescue Run
When: Saturday, May 26th, 7am to 2pm
Where: McFerson Commons, Arena District, Columbus, Ohio
Four volunteers needed.
This is a really fun event, with lots of rescue groups, activities, and a 5k run/walk. We'll have an information tent/booth and adoptable rabbit.
We will need volunteers to transport foster bunny, set up, and staff booth. Tear down and transport foster bunny at end of day. If we get enough volunteers, we will create shifts.
